Supercomputing 2022 (SC’22) took place in Dallas from November 14-17 this year. The Compute Express Link® (CXL®) Consortium, along with a group of our member companies, showcased CXL technology demonstrations, hosted an Exhibitor Forum session, participated in a Birds of a Feather session, and received the Editors’ Choice Award for Best HPC Interconnect Product or Technology from HPCwire.

CXL Consortium Booth and Member Company Demos

Throughout the show, we saw an incredible number of attendees thrilled to see real hardware solutions in the form of CXL technology demonstrations hosted by AMD, Astera Labs, Elastics.cloud, Intel, IntelliProp, MemVerge, Microchip, Rambus, Samsung, Synopsys, Teledyne LeCroy, Unifabrix, and XConn Technologies. The CXL demos showcased memory solutions, IP, compliance testing, fabric implementations, switches, and software solutions.

Exhibitor Forum and Birds of a Feather Session

This year, we had an opportunity to present an Exhibitor Forum session to amplify the CXL technology message to the HPC community and introduce new features in the CXL 3.0 specification that allow for increased scale and optimized resource utilization. It was wonderful to see the amount of interest in CXL technology and devices as shown in the photos below of the session.

Last, but certainly not least, CXL was recognized in the annual HPCWire Editors’ Choice Award for Best HPC Interconnect Product or Technology. It is a great honor to receive this award acknowledging all of the hard work and effort put out by member companies and CXL’s working groups to showcase the benefits of CXL to the HPC, networking, storage, and data analysis industries. The congratulation for this award goes to the many CXL members!
